Romson Oil Field Services Limited provide supply and management services to the oil producing and servicing companies and has mainly 3 divisions which are:

Specialty Production Chemical group provide entire range of oil field specialty production/process chemicals and effective chemical management services to the producing companies. Presently it's novel specialties are used by major producing companies in Nigeria.

Hardware and Consumable division supply lifting accessories, Crosby fittings, Steel wire slings, different sizes of steel wires, Polypropylene, Nylon and Manila Ropes, Chains, Nylon Belt slings etc. The division provides after sales inspection of the supplied lifting accessories to the clients. Apart to the oil industry the division also caters to the Nigerian fishing industry and supply fishing ropes and fishing nets.

Environmental Project Management Services group is focused on environmental project management and spill control equipment/chemical procurement services. The division is engaged in oil spill controlling and repair/rehabilitation of fast response vessels and has executed projects worth of high values in this sector recently.

I. LIST OF OIL FIELD SPECIALTIES AND DETAILS

I. ANTIFOAM

During the production crude with the presence of gas and water can foam inside the surface production facilities. This would result in minimizing the handling capacity of the surface equipment. We offer silicon and non silicon based antifoam for oil production, refining, gas washing plants and other industrial applications.

2. ANTI-SCALE

Scaling is a serious problem in the oil production and may cause formation damage, and restrictions in the conduit/pipeline. We offer ant scale for oil production and water injection facilities.

3. DEMULSIFIERS

Most of the oil and gas wells produce some water at some stage. Many wells start production with no water, but water from the formation or secondary production water injection will break through. This water must be separated from the oil prior to transporting and refining. We offer a wide range of demulsifiers for the separation of water from the crude.

4. ALKALINE CLEANERS I EMULSIFIABLE DETERGENTS

During the drilling or maintenance operations the equipment and derrick floors or rig floors can become slippery due to spilling of grease and oil. We offer a wide range of cleaners or rig wash for these cleaning operations.

5. DE-OILERS/FLOCCULANTS

Most of the oil and gas production facilities discharge water to the environment after the separation of oil. In some cases emulsions can be in the form of oil in water. Before discharging to the environment excess oil has to be removed for the protection of environment and aquatic life. We offer De-Oilers / flocculants for this application.

6. DRILLING FLUID ADDITIVES

We offer a wide range of drilling specialties for the oil well drilling which are, Viscosity control and anti-swelling agents, Bentonite expander, biodegradable environmental friendly ester fluids, HP/HT fluid loss control agents and dispersants.

7. DRAG REDUCERS

Drag reducers are polymers that are used to increase the fluid flow rate thru a pipeline, injection wells etc. We offer drag reducers for both oil and water applications.

8. ASPHAL TENE DISPERSANTS/SOLVENTS

Asphaltene deposits is a serious problem in the oil production which can result in formation damage, blocking of conduit or restrictions in the surface production facilities. We offer a wide range of Asphaltene Dispersants and Solvents for the use in different production /refining cycle.

9. CORROSION INHIBITORS

A variety of corrosion conditions are encountered in all kind of oil production operations. Corrosion can be defined as the electrochemical reaction of a metal with its environment. We offer a wide range of corrosion inhibitors for oil and gas production operations.

10. BIOCIDES

Bacterial Corrosion problems are receiving more and more attention in production operations. Sulphate Reducing Bacteria, Slime forming and iron oxidizing bacteria are the most common type recognized. We offer a range ofbiocides for controlling these bacteria in the production system.

11. PARAFFIN DISPERSANTS

Heavy waxes with high melting points can cause serious 9amages in the oil production. Crystallization of these waxes on cold surfaces would result in fouling problems. We offer an innovative proven technique for controlling the wax deposits in oil production.

12. POUR POINT DEPRESSANTS

Some crude will have flow problems depend on the type and content of wax present in it. If the temperature drops to the original pour point temperature of the crude, the crude congeals and would result in flow problems. We offer a wide range of Pour Point Depressants for improving the original pour point temperature of crude.

13. PARAFFIN SOLVENTS

The removal of deposited wax is a costly operation in the oil production. If the deposits are not removed periodically, can cause the blockage and loss of production. We offer paraffin solvents for such cleaning operations.

Oil contaminated spill sites are health hazardous to the life and environment. We offer in-situ / ex-situ biological remediation and services for decontaminating mineral oil spill sites.

We offer steel wire rope ranging from 3 mm to 100 mm with customer requested lengths. These oil field ropes are designed to endure ultimate tests of strength and security. The wire ropes are manufactured using state of the art technology and . selected raw materials. The wire ropes are accredited by American Petroleum Institute (API) and certified by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and Lloyds. The Oil Field Steel wire rope range include Anchor mooring and pennant ropes, Riser Tensioner Ropes, Rotation Resistant Ropes for Cranes, Drilling Lines and Engineering Ropes. The Construction include 6x37, 35x7, 6x19, 6x26 and are available in galvanized and ungalvanized steel.

STEEL WIRE ROPES FOR ELEVATAORS

No other application of steel wire ropes demands such close manufacturing tolerances and high quality materials as the elevator industry .We offer complete rane of elevator ropes designed to satisfy most OEM specifications and are available for main suspension, governor and compensating duties. Fatigue tests a load tests on our ropes have demonstrated that they are far superior than the comparative industry standards. The wire rope are available in Fibre and Steel Core with 6x19, 8x19 constructions. The wire ropes are certified by ANSI and Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQ).

Apart from the above we offer steel wire rope for the fishing industry in both galvanized and ungalvanized steel with fibre core constructions.

POLYPROPYLENE ROPES

We offer polypropylene 3 and 4 strand ropes ranging diamter from 4 mm to 52 mm.
In 8 strand we offer diameter from 24 mm to 120 mm. The ropes are manufactured according to various standards -BSEN, American Cordage Institute, Australian and Indian standards. All the supplied ropes are certified for breaking strength. These ropes are ideal for Mooring lines, Towing lines, Messenger lines, On board Oil Rigs, SPM Hawsers, Oil Exploration, Fishing, Shipping, Defense, Material Handling, Construction, Ports and in various industrial applications.

C. SOFT ROPE ARTICLES

F. CUSTOM BUILT STEEL WIRE SLINGS FOR THE OIL INDUSTRY

We manufacture steel wire slings ranging diameter from 318" to 2 1/2" according to client requirements. The wire rope used for the manufacturing the slings are tested by ABSILloyds and accredited by API. All the end terminations are manufactured by Crosby. Each sling wire is proof load tested in our testing facilities before supplying to the client and accompanied with proof load test certificates.

III. ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES

Environmental Project Management Services group is focused on environmental project management and spill control equipment I chemical procurement services. The division undertakes oil spill response jobs both land and offshore using most environmental safe methods and modem technology currently in use. Besides we also undertake repairlrehabilitation works of fast response vessels used in this application.
